The brief

To create a grungy ‘newspaper’ style Zine which consists of a collection of emotional and thought-provoking stories from the LGBT community.

The design needed to be nostalgic and historical to represent the LGBT communities’ past and the troubles they’ve overcome.

Our solution

After researching the past of the LGBT Community and taking inspiration from other well—known Zine artists, we began to create a Zine that was gritty with bursts of colour to represent the crossover between where the LGBT Community was and where it is now.

The collection of stories within the Zine are raw, emotional and nostalgic, so the choice of imagery was also crucial to the design – we aimed to capture the reader’s imagination and hook them before they had even read the stories.
