After the huge success of our launch event back in September – with spaces filling up in the first couple of days and over fifty creatives turning up on the night – we’re super excited to have another fantastic evening lined up for you.

Sophie Ottaway Hull Design Meetup

On Wednesday 21 November, we’ll be welcoming Sophie Ottaway to C4DI’s theatre to discuss Government UX Design.

Sophie is a User Experience Design and User Research consultant, who has vast experience in the delivery of UK government services.

You may have had to use the digital platforms of HMRC, DWP, Home Office, DEFRA, Environment Agency and National Career Service?

Well, Sophie has worked with the developers and designers behind those sites to craft digital services that are used by thousands of citizens each and every day.

Her inspiring talk will include insights into the processes used by Government Digital Services and how to take a user-centric approach to your business and digital products.

The workshop aims to teach simple techniques that can be adopted by both designers and business owners to improve the design and usability of your website or application.

As per Sophie’s speciality, we’ll be discovering how to identify user needs through the right research methods, prototyping effectively and using insight to boost conversion.

If you didn’t attend our last get-together, you’re probably wondering what the DesignMeetup is all about.

DesignMeetup

We’ve partnered with TH3 Design, Design Hull and C4DI to create a community that connects, educates and supports those who are interested in design. This isn’t exclusive to designers – although if you are one, you’re going to get a tonne of value from this regular event – it’s open to anyone and everyone who has a passion for the topic.

#HullDesignMeetup is a place for sharing ideas, exchanging bits of knowledge and exploring the true value of design.

We’d love you to be a part of it, so be sure to grab your free ticket now. In the meantime, check out Ottaway Media’s incredible portfolio.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
