Standing tall on Bond Street, K2 is a brand new complex for businesses to grow and thrive. The building was originally constructed in the 1960s but has now been transformed into a hotspot for working, living, shopping and eating.
Although some work on K2 is yet to be finished, you can already anticipate just how amazing everything is going to look and feel. In particular, we are looking forward to the opening of the rooftop terrace, which promises breathtaking views of the bustling city below – a prime spot to take visiting clients for sure.
We also can’t wait to sample some of the tasty food offerings from the impressive variety of eateries and bars planned for the building. Furthermore, K2 boasts its own business lounge, gym and a number of quirky communal spots to meet and network – we’re talking reclining desks, a chessboard and indoor picnic-style areas.
In addition to all of this, K2 is equipped with the city’s most advanced telecommunications and wireless broadband systems, which is a must for us here at Mattix. This empowers us to work efficiently and always be connected with our clients.
We made the decision to rent our own office space this year in order to develop our services and expand our team. With a large number of projects to complete recently, we have been able to take advantage of having our own space and crack on with delivering bespoke design for a wide range of clients.
What is more, K2’s colourful co-working areas have enabled us to meet some of our fellow tenants that have been moving into the building. We’re really eager to collaborate with the community and set up connections with other creatives, entrepreneurs and startups. It certainly looks like 2018 is going to be an exciting year for Mattix.
In fact, the rest of the building currently puts the Mattix office to shame. We’ve been pretty busy working on new designs for you guys that we haven’t yet found the time to truly put our own mark on our office. However, when we do find time to bring the decorators in, we’ll be sure let you take a peek.
Of course, we still remain extremely close with the C4DI community, frequently spending time at the Queen Street hub and attending many of their wonderful events. We’re very keen to maintain our strong relationship with the talented individuals and businesses based at the building, as well as continue to be a part of some of the fantastic projects currently going on there.
Overall, moving into K2 is a huge moment for Mattix Design. Our next stage is evolving ourselves as a business and refining our services to provide clients with quality, distinctive design that drives them to stand out in their respective industries.
